Lately Alya became really interested in Cat In The Hat book by Dr. Seuss. I couldn’t miss a chance to use the new favorite character in a craft. So the idea from Glued to My Crafts appeared to be very handy and easy to complete.
What I used:
- white paper plate
- black and white construction paper
- red and white paint
- black marker
First I cut the black construction paper in 1×1 inch squares. Alya poured the glue around the plate and stuck the squares over it.
Then we set the plate aside to dry and I cut a shape of a long hat out of the white paper. I marked the lines for future stripes and let Alya paint them with red and white paint, one color at a time. I took care of one red stripe as well 🙂
I let the hat sit aside till dry. In a bit I drew cat’s face features and we glued the hat over the cat’s head.
Later on the plate went through a transformation into a mask. It became even more exciting! Source: [Glued to My Crafts]
