Welome to Home with a Kid!

My name is Oksana, I’m a Ukrainian girl, married to an Egyptian architect, and currently living in the suburbs of Kansas City, lying on the border of the states of Missouri and Kansas, USA. We are blessed with a little girl, Alya, who is almost 2 and a half years old and is a handful of fun. I hold a post-graduate degree in International Economical Relations from NAU in Kiev, Ukraine, and have worked as an economist for one year. Later on, while living in Cairo, Egypt, I went through several training courses and had a chance to teach preschoolers for a year, which was a fantastic experience that gave me a better understanding on raising kids, and opened my perception on early education and kids psychology.

Now since I am a stay at home mom, and have more time to dedicate to my child, searching for different  kinds of inspiration is a part of my daily routine. I enjoy cooking, arts, crafts & DYI projects, and exploring our new surrounding in the American Midwest – and involving Alya is my #1 priority.

For the past 2 years all my activities had to be efficient, easy to fulfill, and interesting enough to grab her attention. I’m constantly looking for fresh ideas to cover these requirements, and will share my outcomes with anyone interested. Maybe my explorations will save someone’s day 🙂 or I’ll learn a thing or two along the way.

I’m starting this diary as my digital notebook to share the happiness taking place around our home with a kid 🙂
